Short answer: after installation, turn on the eSIM profile, select it for mobile data, and enable data roaming if required.
When your phone asks you to name or label the eSIM during installation, choose a clear label you will recognize later, such as 4S eSIM, your destination country or region, or Travel. If you did not rename it, look for the newly added eSIM, a travel/secondary/business label, or the line that shows No Number.
Activation checklist
- Open your phone settings.
- Find your SIM or eSIM list.
- Turn on the eSIM profile you installed for 4S.
- Select that label as your mobile data line.
- Turn on data roaming for that same eSIM line.
- Turn Wi-Fi off briefly to test mobile data.
If the line has no phone number, that is normal for 4S data-only eSIM plans.
