Short answer: when you top up an eligible unlimited plan, the top-up adds more high-speed data and extends the plan validity period.
What top-up adds
- Top-up adds extra high-speed data to the current eligible plan.
- Top-up also extends the expiry date by the validity period of the top-up package.
- The extra high-speed data is added to the same plan instead of creating a separate parallel plan.
Example
If you activate a 7-day 5GB unlimited Europe plan on January 1, the original plan is valid for 7 days and includes 5GB of high-speed data.
If you top up the same plan on January 3 with another 7-day 5GB unlimited Europe top-up, the plan validity is extended by 7 days. The expiry date becomes January 15, and the total high-speed data becomes 10GB.
Current top-up limitation
At the moment, top-up only supports the same current destination or regional plan. For example, if you bought a Japan plan, you can only top up with a Japan plan. If you bought a Europe regional plan, you can only top up with a Europe regional top-up.
We plan to support wider cross-region top-up options in the future.
